  8.    This is a replacement for UPD.  If you don't know what UPD is, it's
  9. a sound playing daemon.  It's use is that when an application, such as ARQ,
  10. wants to play a sound, it can do so quickly and easily by simply sending
  11. IFX a message, and IFX will select a sound (or other type of effect) and
  12. play it.  Coincidentally, ARQ WILL send IFX messages whenever an requester
  13. is opened, so I recommend getting ARQ along with IFX.

  15.    IFX also sends itself messages when Windows/Screens are opened,
  16. activated, resized, or closed, as well as several other things, such as 
  17. a chime every quarter of the hour, and a replacement or the system's
  18. beep sound.

  24.    - Uses datatypes when available, allowing one to downloads .wav's 
  25.      and .au's for sound effects.
